Device Filtering
What Is Device Filtering?
Device filtering allows you to view and edit screenshots for only one device type at a time. This is useful when managing projects with multiple device types (e.g., iPhone and iPad screenshots).
Using the Device Filter
Accessing the Filter
Look for the Device Filter dropdown in the project header, right before the Language Preview selector. It shows all unique device types used in your screenshots.
Filtering by Device
Click the dropdown to see all available devices. Select a device to show only screenshots for that device. The main canvas will display only those screenshots.
Showing All Devices
Select "All Devices" to show screenshots for all device types again.
When to Use Device Filtering
Multi-Device Projects
If your app has different screenshots for iPhone and iPad, create separate screenshots for each device. Use the filter to focus on one platform at a time.
Consistency Check
Filter by device to ensure all screenshots for that device have consistent styling and layouts.
Bulk Editing
Filter to one device, then make changes to multiple screenshots for that device in quick succession without scrolling through unrelated screenshots.
Example Workflow
1. Create 6 screenshots: 3 for iPhone 15, 3 for iPad Pro
2. Filter by "iPhone 15" to edit the iPhone screenshots
3. Make edits and styling adjustments
4. Filter by "iPad Pro" to work on tablet screenshots
5. Make device-specific adjustments for the larger screen
6. Export all screenshots
Pro Tips
- • The filter only affects which screenshots are displayed—it doesn't affect export or translations
- • When copying layers between screenshots, the copied layer keeps its properties regardless of device filter
- • Use clear naming for screenshots to match device types: "iPhone 15 - Home", "iPad - Home", etc.
- • The device filter setting is per-session—it resets when you reload the page
