Exporting Screenshots

Overview

Screenshot Generator exports your designs at full resolution, ready to upload to app stores. You can export individual screenshots or batch export all at once.

Starting an Export

Using the Export Button

Click the "Export Screenshots" button in the toolbar. A dialog will appear with export options.

Export Options

  • • Devices: Select which device screen sizes to include. All devices in your project are listed with their screenshot count
  • • Languages: Select which languages to export. Each language uses its translations, falling back to the default language when a translation is missing
  • • Format: Choose PNG or JPEG
  • • Quality: For JPEG, adjust quality (0-100, where 100 is highest quality)
  • • Filename: Choose the ZIP file name (defaults to the project name)

Export Formats

PNG

Lossless compression. Best for designs with text and graphics. No quality loss, but files may be larger. Recommended for most app store listings.

JPEG

Lossy compression. Smaller file sizes but some quality loss. Best for photographs or images with many colors. Quality slider controls the compression.

Batch Exporting

When exporting multiple screenshots, they're automatically packaged into a ZIP file. You'll download one file containing all your screenshots, ready to upload to app stores.

ZIP Structure

Screenshots are organized into folders by platform, language, and device, so a single export can cover every device size and localization:

my-project.zip
├── iOS
│ ├── en
│ │ └── iphone-6.9
│ │ ├── 01-My Screenshot_1.png
│ │ └── 02-My Screenshot_2.png
│ └── fr
│ └── iphone-6.9
│ ├── 01-My Screenshot_1.png
│ └── 02-My Screenshot_2.png
└── Android
    └── en
        └── android-phone-portrait
            └── 01-My Screenshot_1.png
  • • The top-level folder is the platform: iOS or Android
  • • The second-level folder is the language code (e.g. en, fr, zh-Hans)
  • • The third-level folder is the device preset (e.g. iphone-6.9, android-phone-portrait)
  • • Files are numbered in the order your screenshots appear in the project (01-, 02-, ...)

Export Resolution

Screenshots are always exported at the exact resolution of the device preset you chose. For example:

  • • iPhone 6.9-inch (Dynamic Island, Large Display): 1320 × 2868 pixels
  • • iPad 13-inch Display: 2064 × 2752 pixels
  • • Android Phone (Portrait - Recommended): 1584 × 2816 pixels

This ensures your screenshots meet app store requirements without scaling issues.

Before Exporting

  • • Save Your Project: Click the Save button to ensure all changes are persisted
  • • Check Visibility: Make sure all layers you want to export are visible (eye icons are on)
  • • Preview Languages: If using translations, switch to each language and verify text displays correctly
  • • Check Dimensions: Verify screenshots are the correct device size for your target platforms
  • • Device Filtering: Your device filter does not affect exports — the export dialog lets you choose exactly which devices to include

Troubleshooting

Export Takes Too Long

Large projects with many layers may take a few seconds to export. This is normal. High-resolution exports always take longer.

Quality Issues

If using JPEG, increase the quality slider for better results. PNG always maintains quality but creates larger files.

Text Looks Blurry

This is usually a browser rendering issue. Try exporting as PNG instead of JPEG. Ensure your text layer size is large enough to be readable.

App Store Upload

Once exported, your screenshots are ready to upload directly to:

  • • Apple App Store: App Store Connect
  • • Google Play Store: Google Play Console
  • • Other app stores with their respective developer consoles

Pro Tips

  • • Export PNG for best quality and to preserve all design details
  • • Select multiple languages in the export dialog to include all localizations in a single ZIP
  • • Select every device you need so one export covers all your store listings
  • • Keep your project file for future updates—exporting is destructive, you'll want to re-edit later
